Issue with back-end banking provider - 28 August, 2013
What has happened?
There was an outage with the banking network that is affecting EFTPOS, ATMs, and online payment gateways in Australia. This issue was Australia wide and not isolated to eWAY.
Merchants were not be able to accept credit card transactions during this time.
The issue first occurred at 4pm AEST the outage was since resolved with the banking network and eWAY services have been fully restored. eWAY does not expect any further interruptions but are continuing to monitor.
